I recently had wasabi french fries that were absolutely delicious. They were sprinkled with wasabi nori. My husband asked the chef what that was called. He said something like “forakaki”. Don’t know the spelling. Do you know what that might be and where I would find it. I tried googling it with many different spellings and couldn’t come up with anything.
I think that your oyster recipe would taste wonderful.
Thanks,
Leona
Hi Leona
Wasabi Nori is currently available in small sheets at Woolworths in the asian food section. Its in a small packet that is marked Wasabi Nori Snack. Basically you can if you want make your own wasabi nori by mixing some wasabi paste with water and brusing it onto nori(seaweed) sheets. Then you can finely shred them and use them in the oyster dish.
Enjoy
